Olathe Youth Baseball is looking for both seasoned & rookie umpires 14 years old and up for the Spring/Summer and Fall Ball seasons Grades 3 thru 12.
In a time when it is getting increasingly harder to find good umpires it is important that we do our best to support  these gentlemen of all ages from the younger developing umpires all the way through our veteran umpires.

Don't yell at Umpires, no one likes to be yelled at. Our umpires are constantly training to improve. Some of our umpires are former players, and some are former coaches that love the game. They all take the responsibility of umpiring seriously. The rest of our umpires are young, some are first timers, and all of them have had training to do the best they can do.

It's a tough job and it's hot out there, so don't make it worse on them. Some of your players or your son may want to umpire someday. It's a great summer job, therefore would you want your son to be yelled at by coaches/parents?

Harassing is the act of subjecting someone to aggressive pressure or intimidation, harassing of umpires will not be tolerated by OYBI. Read Regulation IV - Field Decorum in the OYBI Rules Book or look on-line under rules. Managers and Coaches must follow the "Coaches Code of Conduct"
